Aural Doom

Tomorrow morning I’m heading into my friend Jeromy’s studio to begin recording an album. A lot of you probably know that my buddy Jon Gilmore and I recorded a couple albums as Welmore Mile, so this will be a fun challenge in that it will be a solo album, of sorts. Fortunately for me, I’ll be joined by a bunch of my musically talented friends (including Mr. Gilmore, Jon Smith, Craig Larson, Todd Luker, and others) so the recording sessions should be a lot of fun.

My goal is to make the album sound like a mix of Led Zeppelin’s ‘Houses of the Holy’ and Bel Biv Devoe. I’m not exactly sure how this is possible, or why such a combination would be enjoyed by anybody, but I will act the ruthless tyrant in order to ensure it is accomplished. In addition, the album will include a 42 minute hidden track comprised of a drifter huffing turpentine and sharing his thoughts on the Bush administration. It will be like if Radiohead was from Cleveland.

Wish me luck on this hopelessly flawed endeavor!

I recommend including a bonus DVD where you fight the homeless man.

is this going to be available on a super audio cd? do we get the tshirt if we preorder?

T-shirts can be obtained by sending cash to me. I’ll get back to you later on about them. Don’t worry about it.

  4. I seriously and wholeheartedly support a Peter solo album. Will you title it Jeremy the Perfect Boyfriend or The John Larroquette Project? [I figured that I Am One Extreme Son of a Bitch will get you blacklisted by Wal*Mart, those censorious bastards.]

And Thom is right: BUMFIGHTS are a must.

Peter, are you still planning to include that Lee Greenwood cover?
