I’m writing this to you from a cold, dimly-lit workroom. The air I’m breathing is stale and diseased and the carpeting below me is slightly outdated.
Above my monitor is posted a Federal Labor Law posting informing me that I am entitled to at least $6.55 per hour for my services as a teacher. Apparently, this is some new sort of minimum wage.
Do any of you know anything about this? Should I follow up on it?
Well, by the sound of that buzzer, my allotted 4 minutes of breaktime are up. I’m headed back to the teaching sweathouse for an 11-hour lesson on the geography of central Asian nations. After that I’ll drive home and stay up all night sharpening my knife.
